Unit Description

Sodexo, leader in quality of life solutions is currently seeking aHigh Performer to work as a Part Time Food Service Manager at Woodwinds Hospital, Woodbury, Minnesota.  

 

 

The Food Service Manager 2 position will work closely with the Retail Manager to develop creative ideas for increasing service delivery for our guests. The Food Service Manager will also oversee patient services and production to ensure we deliver an outstanding patient experience.

 

An engaging personality, creative mindset, commitment to operational excellence standards, willingness to coach and develop others, openness to change, and attention to detail and follow-through will encourage success in this position.  Technical skills include high levels of proficiency with POS functions and reporting systems, Microsoft Office, computer-generated menu and graphics programming, cash handling processes, and understanding of safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g. HAACP forms, temperature logs, inventory management, etc.)  Additionally, the Food Service Manager will appreciate the importance of partnering with hospital leaders and employees in other departments to exceed expectations of patients and guests.

 

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • Provide team leadership by ensuring cohesiveness in the FANS departments and with administration
  • Develop a business plan for the administration that establishes a rapport, promotes partnership and exceeds the administrations’ needs and expectations
  • Drive innovative strategies for patient satisfaction
  • Monitor and manage operations by comparing contract guarantees to historical and present data to analyze and make effective decisions; Manage the budget by increasing revenue and controlling costs, reviewing financial statements and tracking operating expenses
  • Constantly improve food service operations in order to drive patient and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain and implement sanitary and food safety conditions and training to adhere to auditing procedures and statutory regulations
  • Accountable for the execution of product and service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery
  • Promote and support workplace diversity initiatives as well as create a positive work environment
  • Develop strategic plans for account retention and growth

Position Summary

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
