Sodexo is seeking a motivated, skilled professional with a minimum of 2 years of current/prior supervisory experience in a high volume environment, food production, management experience, computer literacy, full HACCP knowledge and ServSafe certification.  This Manager will work a rotating schedule and will every other weekend as well as closing shifts until 9:00pm. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills / attributes...

  • Experience with At Your Request--Room Service Dining or a similar "on- demand" food service model

  • The ability to effectively communicate with a diverse staff both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to identify, on-board, train and develop staff members
  • An understanding of what it takes to motivate people to go above the normal call of duty
  • Experience in managing a union environment
  • Stress tolerance
  • Self-directed 
  • Duties include:

    • Managing the daily foodservice program for patients
    • Ensuring Sodexo Standards including recipe compliance and food quality
    • Labor cost controls and compliance
    • Scheduling, shift awards and staffing
    • Gold Check Audit compliance
    • Safety
    • Identifing, on-boarding, coaching, training and development of the frontline staff

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
