Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?

Sodexo Dining Services at Graceland University is looking for a creative and energetic Catering and Events manager to join our team. Graceland University is a private liberal arts college located in Lamoni, Iowa. Graceland’s Catering program provides a wide range of services including everything from small coffee set ups to high profile and large scale banquets. The Catering and Events Manger will join a management team consisting of a General Manager, Operations Manager, Executive Chef and Food Service Manager. The Catering and Events manager will also assist in the units marketing efforts. The marketing aspect of the position will include: planning student events for the dining hall, signage, and execution of marketing events as well as day to day operations within the account.

Position Summary

Assists in the management of all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing. May supervise less than two full time employees.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
