Sodexo's Banking Operations department in our Buffalo Service Center in Cheektowaga, NY has an opening for an Accounting Analyst.  Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM.


Duties and Responsibilities

The Accounting Analyst role supports Operators across all business segments to initiate and maintain cash management programs such as armored services, bank-by-mail and DTS Connex cash administration.  This role will have a diverse set of responsibilities that fall within the scope of their work that include reviewing vendor contracts, analyzing fee schedules, drafting report requirements, and setting up procedures. Other areas of responsibility include:


  • Serve as subject matter expert in area of cash payments with an in-depth understanding of risk and compliance factors as well as operational and technical details.
  • Support new and existing relationships with partners and Sodexo management.
  • Develop and implement program requirements that support the accurate and timely operations of cash services.
  • Lead cross-function effort to support new requests from business segments
  • Establish protocol to onboard new and/or existing locations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain master list of all cash management services and documenting justification for accepted and rejected programs as well as master contact list for day-to-day contacts for processing and boarding. 
  • Monitor bank activity for each cash solution to ensure compliance with Sodexo standards.
  • Perform scheduled audits of program fees to validate that they are in-line with the contractual agreements.
  • Coordinate the closing of any cash solution with the vendor and local managers to ensure proper settlement of final deposit activity.
  • Keep current on innovations in retail cash payments and use of new programs including that changes that speed up services.
  • Responsible for drafting and maintaining procedures for all active programs
  • Provide process improvement recommendations to Management
  • Perform special projects as needed

 Minimum Training/Knowledge/Skills Required

Position Summary

Has working knowledge and experience in own discipline.  Assists in the maintenance of accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organization's assets. Maintains accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports.  Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
