Sodexo is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian to join its team at New York-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital, a 291 bed acute care facility located in Bronxville, NY.  New York-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital has a long and important history of providing superior health-care to the residents of Southern Westchester County and its surrounding communities for over 100 years. Lawrence Hospital's partnership with Sodexo includes not only Food & Nutrition, but Environmental Services, Patient Transport and Plant Operations Management.  This position is benefits eligible.


Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, this Registered Dietitian will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian with a minimum of 1 year acute care experience, preferred 
  • Provide exceptional nutrition care at this progressive acute care hospital to Cardiac, Medical/Surgical & Pediatric patients along with cross coverage in Critical Care, Oncology and Maternity
  • Have experience with EMR, diet office computer systems such as CBORD and the Nutrition Care Process
  • Participate in various PI projects i.e. meal rounds & others as assigned by CNM
  • Provide education to staff and participate in community wellness events
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a self-starter, a team player, and possess good time management skills
  • Precept dietetic interns

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services
Key Duties
-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience -  Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
