This union account is a 400 bed, acute care teaching hospital, with several buildings in a downtown setting overseeing a team of 55. Full range of services including heart, cancer, obstetrics, general medical surgical, and an emergency department. This is a Afternoon Shift (1:00pm start time) opportunity and will need to be flexible to work some weekends and other shifts as the business dictates. Rotating weekends and holidays are part of the schedule. Full service acute care hospital in downtown setting. All services including heart, obstetrics, ER, OR, and med-surgical units. Must have experience in healthcare to include a background in floor care, teletracking computer skills, and housekeeping management. Excellent oral and written communication skills are key to managing and communicating with the clients & employees. The successful candidate will utilize Trakkar and bedtracking systems and will supervise around 45 staff. Prior supervisory experience in healthcare setting or equivalent is ideal. We are in search of a self-motivated leader with the desire to deliver outstanding results for the organization. The ability to motivate and inspire staff to exceed expectations is a desired characteristic for this manager. Must be able to drive HCAHPS results to a high level and understand ENGAGE patient satisfaction process. Overall, will need to motivate hourly staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level. Driving client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction is essential for the success of this role.
Previous experience in custodial and housekeeping is ideal for Healthcare Environmental Services departments. Position desires knowledge of Sodexo programs; UOS, TRAKKAR, and Infection Prevention. Experience in supervising a diverse employee population while providing excellent customer service is key to this role. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills and previous housekeeping experience. This manager will place a large focus on the patient experience, customer service, and positively affecting patient satisfaction scores.

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services exempt and non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Environmental Service programs are in place and functioning according to design to consistently meet all company, client and regulatory requirements.
-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexho safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory and maintenance.
-Assumes GM responsibilities and authority in his or her absence
-Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring compliance to operating standards.
-Ensures compliance with application of all Sodexo Quality Assurance and Regulatory standards within the contractually agreed upon scope of services.
-Establish and/or adhere to defined operating standards, develops and implements quality improvements and ensures direct reports and staff adhere to the standards and expectations.
-Assists with Management of Environmental Service budget by ensuring full compliance to established operating standards, monitoring costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, and material), and taking corrective action as needed.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services
