Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Project Manager for Keystone College at LaPlume, PA.


What does it take to become our next Construction Project Manager?

  • Prior construction project management experience- at least 3-5 years;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication;
  • Ability to manage schedules, budgets and contractors;
  • Ensuring that Environment of Care and other related matters are considered and aptly handled;
  • The ability to build strong relationship is required as this role will interact with many type of roles inside and outside the organization.

Duties of a Construction Project Manager:

  • Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction in all areas to ensure account retention;
  • Fulfills contractual obligations to the client;
  • Oversees expenditures to control project costs;
  • Plans projects, including defining objectives, scope, specifications, methods, timetables, staffing, contract requirements and budget;
  • Evaluates, identifies and implements new ideas, technologies or process improvements to increase organizational efficiencies and cost savings;
  • Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery;
  • Ensures design and construction is in compliance with building codes;
  • Negotiates and administers the bidding and awarding of contracts with vendors and suppliers;
  • Seeks regular client feedback to ensure account retention;
  • Probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resources when necessary;
  • Maintains and implements safety conditions and training to adhere to auditing procedures and statutory regulations and Sodexho policies;
  • Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards;
  • Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate.

Position Summary

Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated capital projects. Reviews project proposal, establishes work plan and manages contractors to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.  

Key Duties
- Construction Management including scheduling and financial management

- Quality Control and Safety

- Project Engineering including following specifications, design adaptation by ensure design and specifications meet codes and specification

- Sub-contractor management

- Administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, minutes, maintaining documentation and customer liaison



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
