Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Environmental Services Manager 2 / Housekeeping Manager, for its operations at Brethren Village, a continuing care retirement community located in Lititz, PA. Lititz Pennsylvania is about 45 minutes from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

 

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations (houskeeping, laundry and floor care);
  • deliver high quality service;
  • implement Sodexo systems and programs, and oversee training of staff;
  • continuously evaluates service to ensure patient and client satisfaction;
  • drive employee engagement and resident satisfaction through strong leadership skills;
  • integrate fully within our client's organization and be a trusted advisor with a customer service focus;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships;
  • develop strategic plans;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.
  • Manage a total hourly staff of 40 .

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of housekeeping service experience ideally in a healthcare environment; 
  • a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • a work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; and
  • the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Position Summary

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place as required to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for non-exempt work force planning through effective scheduling, development of daily work flow assignments, training and development, and monitoring for compliance to the plan.

Key Duties
-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexho safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory maintenance.

-Provide leadership and direction to non-exempt employees
-Coordinate/conduct employee training
-Administer Human Resource processes (hiring, performance reviews, constructive counseling, prepare work schedules, payroll, etc.)
-Interact with outside vendors
-Ensure Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place and consistently met.
-Develop/implement action plans for improvement in compliance with Sodexo Operating Standards as identified.
-Reviews and maintains assigned areas of the Sodexo/Client budget commitments

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
