Sodexo Healthcare is seeking a leader who is passionate about clinical care and patient satisfaction for the role of Clinical Dietitian at Coastal Carolina Hospital, located in the beautiful Hilton Head South Carolina area. Coastal Carolina is a small (30 Beds) community hospital with a robust stroke center.  

This is a full time position responsible for all aspects of medical nutrition therapy with a focus on Patient Services Management and growing the Outpatient program.  


The selected candidate will be responsible for inpatient and outpatient care, community outreach and education, data collection, performance monitoring, and collaboration/education of food service employees to support patient satisfaction initiatives. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic clinical team that supports the Northeast Region of the Tenet Healthcare System.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development and implementation of evidence based practice for all hospital patients
  • Monitoring tray-line, managing accountability tool, conducting meal rounds, management of hostess staff, tray audits, coordination of spirit lifters and managing any health-touch. 
  • Participation in multidisciplinary meetings, providing recommendations for patient treatment
  • Provision of community education classes for diabetes education
  • Candidates will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills, have a proven track record of proactive interaction with the medical team, be an outstanding team player, and have strong demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ideal candidate will demonstrate good time management skills and the ability to work in both as part of a team and independently.
  • Prior experience with electronic charting preferred
  • Licensure in the state of South Carolina required.

Position Summary

Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a small - medium account. Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.

Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met.
-May provide direct nutrition care to population served
-Executes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments; and collects and reports outcomes.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services and promotes nutrition services.
-. - Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
