Sodexo at Detroit Receiving Hospital in Detroit, MI is seeking an experienced Patient Services Manager to direct the daily operations of patient meal services. Directly oversees production, tray line and meal delivery, coordinates menu development for cycle menus, works with the clinical departments to develop and implement patient needs, establishes a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance, establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates to employees.
You will also maintain current Serve-safe certification and any locally required certifications as well as coordinates/posts employee schedules. Audits all food-service operational logs per Sodexo's policies and procedures. The Patient Service Manager also executes daily employee huddles with emphasis on Sanitation & Safety and ensures that employees demonstrate an active customer hospitality orientation to customers and clients and manages a staff of 20 front-line employees.
Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.
- Performs audits and prepares reports.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
