Sodexo is seeking an experienced General Manager 4 for Mess Hall 210802 at Camp Pendleton, California. This facility serves 11000 meals weekly to active duty Marines, and also supports several training commands. This newly renovated mess hall operation includes several trendy Sodexo Food Court concepts, along with traditional dining room fare. We are seeking an individual with great leadership and organizational skills to plan, develop, implement, and revise organization policies, operations, and goals. The General Manager is responsible for measuring the performance of assigned activities. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in areas of financial accountability, food production, customer satisfaction, and contract/standards compliance. Qualified candidates should have above average computer skills. The General Manager 4 will supervise a production manager, three sub-contract managers, along with Cooks, Storeroom personnel, and unit clerical personnel. The General Manager 4 oversees the entire facility, and must be willing to take full ownership for the operation.
Mess Hall 210802 experiences meal count fluctuation throughout the year, and candidates should be adept at managing both food cost and labor where managed volume is constantly changing. The General Manager 4 will need to have experience in high volume feeding, scheduling, production control, food cost control, and labor cost controls. Experience with complex recipe preparation and contract management compliance are considered essential.
