Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center is seeking an Executive Chef for a 108 bed hospital located in Enola Pa. In this role you will have direct oversight of the culinary operations for a full-service account utilizing "At Your Request" a room service program in the main hospital and one Retail Venue
Responsibilities include Menu Planning, Inventory/purchasing, ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance, hands on food preparation, catering, training and leading the culinary team to outstanding results. This is an opportunity for a candidate who thrives in a fast paced environment, has strong leadership skills and has a passion for working hands on with the Culinary staff.
The ideal candidate will possess a true passion for professional cooking and is career driven and self-motivated. The successful candidate will possess the ability to strive in a fast-paced environment while sharing responsibility for food operations including patient tray line, retail and catering.

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
