Sodexo's Universities segment is seeking a dynamic Retail Food Operations Manager for a Potential New Sale opportunity located in Lawrenceville, NJ!

Rider University is located in west, central New Jersey (about an hour from Philadelphia, PA). The dining service employees at Rider are a unionized work force and the account is estimated to generate just under $10 million in annual dining sales and approximately $4 million in retail revenue with a mix of national an in-house branded food quick-service concepts.  

 

Are you the Retail Food Operations Manager we're seeking?  Do you have the following skills/experience?

 

  • College/University high-volume retail food service management experience;
  • Experience training and directing a talented and diverse staff to include salaried managers and hourly staff;
  • Strong financial acumen, P&L, experience writing and managing budgets;
  • Experience managing multiple food retail outlets and national brand concepts;
  • Innovation and the ability to grow revenue and manage costs;
  • Customer-driven and strong track record in organizational development;
  • Superior client relations skills and executive presence.

Position Summary

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.
Key Duties
-Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
-Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
-Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
-Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
-Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
-Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in retail operations
