Sodexo is looking for an energetic Food Operations Manager 3 to support two locations: Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance located in Torrance, CA., and Providence Little Company of Mary San Pedro.
This position will lead the Day-to-Day operations of the food-service department for both locations and will supervise all food service personnel. Will also be responsible for maintaining payroll records, schedules, catertax platform, and retail marketing campaign experience . Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Must have prior experience with driving retail sales utilizing Sodexo / similar retail platforms and proven track record in health care food-service managing multiple accounts. Position may also assist with patient feeding as needed.
Torrance Memorial Medical System is a 4-Star rated facility by Centers for Medical Services, one of the most highly rated hospital systems in California. The hospital is growing in size and specialization of numerous medical specialties. Torrance Memorial Medical is licensed for 300 beds. 1.4 million in Retail volume.
Providence Little Company of Mary San Pedro is a top rated hospital as well and has 200 beds. 650k in Retail volume.
This position will assist with all aspects of Catered events at both sites as well, including off-site events such as Regional Board Dinners and Department gatherings. Combined Catering volume of 1.2 million.

Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. Provides supervision for food services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company. Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission, values and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement.
- Establishes a safe work environment
- Assumes General Manager’s (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence
- Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention
- Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes
- Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met
- Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan
- Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
