Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services/ Custodial Operations Manager for Detroit, MI. This is an acute care, union facility and is part of Tenet Health Systems. This is for afternoon shift (2:00pm start) managing a team of 30. In search of a dedicated, self motivated individual to join our team at Sinai Grace Hospital. This is an afternoon manager position with responsibility at the key hours of the business needs at the hospital. We are looking for an individual with growth aspirations that can inspire staff to perform at the highest level within an acute care hospital. Experience in hospitality management desired but not required. The unit is comprised of an east tower & west tower in one building.
Looking for an individual with healthcare management or hotels experience in the support service arena with a passion for environmental services. Looking for high energy and self-motivated individual that can thrive in a challenging, yet rewarding environment. This is a community hospital of 360 licensed beds and over 600k cleanable square feet. Must be results oriented that can drive patient satisfaction, client/customer satisfaction, and Sodexo programs. Ideal candidate will have management experience in the hospitality industry and union environment but is not a requirement. This manager will place a large focus on the patient experience, customer service, and positively affecting patient satisfaction scores.

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services exempt and non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Environmental Service programs are in place and functioning according to design to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements.
-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexho safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory and maintenance.
-Assumes GM responsibilities and authority in his or her absence
-Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring compliance to operating standards.
-Ensures compliance with application of all Sodexo Quality Assurance and Regulatory standards within the contractually agreed upon scope of services.
-Establish and/or adhere to defined operating standards, develops and implements quality improvements and ensures direct reports and staff adhere to the standards and expectations.
-Assists with Management of Environmental Service budget by ensuring full compliance to established operating standards, monitoring costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, and material), and taking corrective action as needed.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
