Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for our University account in Durant, OK. This hands on chef will lead a team of 20 employees and will be responsible for culinary operations on campus. We are seeking organized and experienced candidates. Southeastern Oklahoma State University, often referred to as Southeastern is a public university located in Durant, Oklahoma, Southeastern Oklahoma State University is located approximately 90 miles north of Dallas, TX with a total enrollment of 3,950 students. A state funded four year university, SOSU currently houses 510 students. Durant proudly serves as the Magnolia Capital of Oklahoma and is home to the Choctaw Nation.
Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
