Sodexo is seeking a Resource Opening for an Executive Chef 2. This is a temporary 6-12 month position that will allow the person to interview for other internal opportunities during this time.
The ideal candidate is hands on, results oriented, and has a proven track record of delivering operational excellence. Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with client, hospital staff, strong retail experience, excellent client and customer relations, consistent proven success of developing and managing a team are a must.
This an acute care resources position for the state of Texas. Candidate must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Texas for up to 10 days at a time. Candidate must have moderate computer skills, and a minimum of 5 years Executive Chef Experience. Culinary degree is not required, but is beneficial for this position.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of healthcare systems.
Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
