    Seeking a sales driven, dynamic, and inspiring Conference Center and Events Sales Manager for a university located

    in the Pacific Northwest (Metropolitan area of Eastern Washington)!



    Sodexo Conference Services is looking for an energetic and aggressive Conference Center Sales Manager to lead our business development efforts for the conferencing program at a University in the Pacific Northwest. The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts for the conferencing program by developing budgets, executing plans to meet and exceed established goals, managing client relationships, developing and maintaining an aggressive marketing plan, building deep relationships within the community along with leading and developing the sales & planning team.


    This Ideal Candidate will have:

    • direct prior experience in space & catering sales for a large, complex hotel, conference center or similar venue. 
    • excellent organizational and communication skills
    • an entrepreneurial spirit and a high degree of accountability.
    • strong interpersonal skills and forging deep relationships with current and potential clients are critical to success – expanding conference sales from within the local community and from nationwide resources.
    • the ability to establish, execute and exceed goals, positive leadership and developing a strong team will also be vital to success. 
    • the ability to travel to Trade Shows and Conferences to network with meeting planners, organizations, etc. The Conference Center at this university offers multiple venues that can meet every event need.     Position Summary

    Directs internal and external sales and marketing at a client account. Manages and directs Unit Sales Representatives to meet sales and revenue objectives. Develops and implements sales strategies. May actively book or manage select clients. Researches and analyzes market trends.



    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

    Basic Management Experience - 3 years

    Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in sales or marketing
