    Sodexo Leisure is growing! 

     

    Sodexo Leisure is looking to add another hands-on Retail Cafe Manager 3 to join our team at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, CA.  Based in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, it is home to a world-class aquarium, planetarium, and natural history museum - all under one living roof. 

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Providing a high level of customer service to our guests by motivating, training and developing the hourly and supervisory service staff
    • Will help grow our business, develop our staff and enhance the customer services provided to our valued guests

    You are/have:

    • Simultaneously managed multiple points of sale in a high-volume retail cafe environment
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills,
    • A high degree of accountability and strong interpersonal skills.
    • Prior experience managing staff, cash controls & quick service/ concession outlets preferred

    Position Summary

    Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly and supervisory food service workers, as well as other managers.
    Key Duties
    - Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
    - Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
    - Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
    - Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
    - Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
    - Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers, supervisors & managers. 

     

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
