    Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Dietitian for a 406 bed acute care, not-for-profit hospital in Yuma, Arizona- the only hospital serving the Yuma Arizona area. YRMC is a Level 1 Trauma center, multi-specialty medical center with an Internal Medicine residency program and the Women and Children's hospital serving as part the medical center. The hospital will be constructing a new kitchen and cafeteria during 2019. 


    Yuma is located only 2 1/2 hours east of the beautiful San Diego beaches and 3 hours west of the greater Phoenix and Scottsdale area.   An excellent place to enjoy nice warm weather all year round, Yuma is considered a great family community with fun events taking place routinely.

    Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the ideal candidate will:

    • Hold an active registered dietitian status (no license required by the state of Arizona) with prior experience in an acute care setting and pediatric/NICU (preferred)
    • Work with a team of clinical dietitians 
    • Have a working knowledge of EHR charting (EPIC system currently in place) nutrition informatics and the nutrition care process
    • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with patients and staff of diverse backgrounds
    • Educate patients and family members, as needed in components of nutrition and diet modifications
    • Participate in Quality Improvement projects as needed and assigned

    Position Summary

    Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services
    Key Duties
    -Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
    -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
    -Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
    -Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary.
    -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
    -Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..


    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

    Basic Functional Experience -  Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
