    Sodexo is seeking a detail oriented and process driven Controller - Multi Location / Multi Account for a potential new sale in beautiful Morgantown, West Virginia!  

    The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP policies and procedures as well as familiarity with company accounting processes. Must have strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in finance-related computer applications.  Must be able to identify key factors affecting the financial performance of the division, as well as organization as a whole and use financial data to accurately diagnose business realities, identify key issues and developing strategies and plans.

    Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?


    The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:

    • Experience supporting and training district controllers and general managers on various finance procedures including flash projections forecasting, budget process, and various Sodexo reporting tools
    • Moderate level experience in Site Monitoring, E-vision, Brio, Essbase/Hyperion
    • Mastery level experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & computer skills
    • Experience with budget model, forecast model & AOC tools a plus
    • Strong contract skills & new unit opening skills also a plus

     The Controller will direct financial oversight for the following.

    • Reviews financial data for accuracy prior to week-end, period-end, and year-end financial close.
    • Responsible for all transactions for weekly, monthly, and annual close
    • Account reconciliation, accounts payable, billing, budget, reporting, inventory, transfers, etc.
    • Reviews financial data for accuracy prior to week-end, period-end, and year-end financial close.
    • Also performs trend analysis to assist decision making.
    • Analyzes year over year spending variances to assist with the budgeting process.
    • Assists with external and internal audits..
    • Assists Finance Managers with various tasks and projects

    Position Summary

    Manages all accounting and financial matters for either a large multi-size national account OR a large complex single location account
    Key Duties
    - Data Collection from field - data review, analysis and suggestion of process improvement, review of FSC spot audits, accounts receivable review, review of new business,

    - Oversight and direction of annual budgeting process & oversight and direction of period close process for all sites for Sodexo and Client, creation and maintenance of area forecasts, oversight of Project Clear compliance for portfolio.

    - Financial Training and development of Sodexo General Managers.
    - Creation, delivery & presentation of client specific financial reports as needed
    - Oversight, training and support of POS systems and other cashless technology

    -Train other controllers, analysts and field in contract interpretation, accounting procedures, system applications, and other areas


    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

    Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
