    Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic clinical team at Desert Springs Hospital located in Las Vegas, NV.  A 286 bed acute care facility that is a joint commission accredited in Diabetes, Heart failure, and stroke and also a center for surgical weight loss.


    Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager the Dietitian will:


    • Be a Registered Dietitian with RD licensure for state of NV and have the availability to work weekends, RD’s rotate weekend coverage
    • Have the responsibility for in patient care in an inpatient and outpatient setting, conduct nutritional assessments and provide education to patients and is required to work in all critical care and medical units and prior experience utilizing the nutrition care process and experience with electronic medical records is required
    • Require rounding on a regular basis
    • Have other responsibilities including performance improvement projects, in services to staff members as needed, and attending interdisciplinary meetings and work closely with Dietary staff and participate in the Precepting of Dietetic Interns
    • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Precept Dietetic Interns

    Position Summary

    Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services
    Key Duties
    -Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
    -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
    -Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
    -Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary.
    -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
    -Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..


    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

    Basic Functional Experience -  Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
