Sodexo is looking for a Patient Services Manager to join a fast paced account within Medstar Health System. MedStar Union Memorial is known as one of the best hospitals for orthopedic health in the nation. It is a not-for-profit, acute care teaching hospital with 300 beds.

The Patient Services Manager 2 will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations;
  • perform tray and cart assessment to ensure food quality, presentation, correct portioning and meal accuracy;
  • be a hands-on manager providing direct support to the operation;
  • lead patient floor rounding, cart checks and driving patient engagement and patient satisfaction;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met. 

The ideal candidate:

  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • has an eye for details and a strong background in food safety and sanitation compliance;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service.

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports.




Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
