    Sodexo is seeking an Unit Marketing Coordinator forSt. Mary's College in Moraga, CA - near Oakland, CA.  The hourly Unit Marketing Coordinator role will be to drive sales and to market our dining program to our customer base, oversee social media, operate promotions, promote student activties.   This position supports all dining venues operated by Sodexo at St Mary's consisting of Resident Dining, Retail Dining and Catering Services.  The Unit Marketing Coordinator will bring innovation and lead marketing efforts on campus- social media, website management, Sustainability and Customer Engagement programs.  


    The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the planning and implementation of all marketing rollouts and training of national marketing programs to support unit operations.  The ideal candidate has 2 - 4 years of food retail marketing experience - meal plan sales, merchandise designs, program development and execution, and visual merchandise upgrades that are current with market trends. 

    This is a full time, hourly position that requires feet on the street, hands on marketing and merchandising in the Student Dining and Food Retail venues on campus and the athletic center - actively engaging in communication with the students, educating on value of VMPs, updating them on Theme Nights and Limited Time Offers, etc.

    • Social Media: Are you a social / digital media "guru" who can increase Sodexo's social media footprint via Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn

    • Bring Innovation and Creativity to market our various Food Operations, increase sales and branding, generate strong following on social media, etc.
    • Identify internal/external customer needs and expectations
    • Educate and develop rapport with internal/external customers with a special emphasis on building a partnership with our client.
    • Maintain marketing information on intranet, company, and/or client websites, social media.
    • Create monthly marketing calendars and host events to engage student and employee participation
    • Coordinate all unit marketing initiatives to drive sales growth and track results

    Position Summary

    This position assists in implementing and deploying unit marketing growth and customer satisfaction and retention strategies. Assists with unit marketing plan development, implementation, communication and evaluation. Assist in projects and has an understanding of project management.
    Key Duties
    Student Engagement: Engaging student body with promotions and programs to increase customer satisfaction and retention
    Web/Social Media: Increase Website and Social Media presence through Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
    Must have high energy, flexible, team oriented but work independently, and be a multi-tasker. Attention to detail, great communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
    Interacts with internal team members, media and public relations
    Ensures customers and Sodexo/SodexoMAGIC goals are aligned
    Assist in all unit marketing initiatives to drive sales growth


    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
