Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for UTSW Zale Lipshy Hospital located in Dallas, Texas. Zale is a 152-bed facility and is one of the world’s top academic medical centers, known for our innovative, patient-oriented medical services, ranging from preventive care to world-class treatment in a variety of specialty areas. Seeking candidates with strong culinary, knowledge of production systems, computer literacy, and experience with Press Ganey, as well as excellent team leadership, communication and strong customer service skills.
This location has a robust Sodexo retail program that includes a coffee shop and cafeteria with Simply to Go. Strong leadership abilities are necessary to be able to manage a diverse team.

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
