    Sodexo is currently seeking a General Manager to lead our team at Fort Stewart MEDCOM hospital in Hinesville, GA. The Food Service General Manager will be responsible for directing all food service operations, including, training, team building, scheduling and purchasing at this highly structured, high profile account. This position will be managing Sodexo employees. In Government Services contract compliance is critical with safety and customer service a high priority as extensive audits and surveys are conducted at each unit on weekly basis.


    The General Managers will oversee all food service at this Army Hospital and an hourly staff of 35 union employees. The General Manager will be responsible all food service operations, this location focuses on a room service style menu for patients, and supports an out patient population with retail sales, the hours of operations are 6am to 6 pm. 


    The ideal candidate will have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as 3 years previous Health Care Food Service experience in a diverse work environment. Ideally, candidates will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively, preferably in a fast paced, highly regimented environment.

    • Military Hospital dining facility with direct client involvement, patient care and retail sales
    • NRA-ServSafe Food Service Manager Certified
    • Knowledge of HACCP procedures/flow
    • Works closely with client in a military hospital environment
    • Experience with TB Med 530 or Tri Service Food Desired

Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
