    Sodexo is seeking a talented General Manager/Chef Manager  for our corporate services account located in Greenlawn, NY. Sodexo offers food services management for a full services café & catering with a population of approx. 600 & managed volume approx. $400k, and 4 FTE’s.


    Typical Schedule

    Monday To Friday

    some evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.


    The ideal candidate has:


    •  5-10 years of experience in culinary 
    • Excellent client relations & communication skills
    • Strong leader and culinary skills
    • Manage the daily food production including production planning and controls
    • Ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance
    • Menu development and inventory management
    • Collaborates with District Manager to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Manage weekly catering events
    • Strong financial acumen- experience writing and managing budgets
    • Experience with catering programs
    • Customer-driven and strong track record of in organizational development
    • Food Contract Management Or Hotel experience is highly desired


    Qualifications for the GM/ Chef Manager include prior culinary management experience in a retail environment, culinary degree or applicable experience, computer literacy, full HACCP knowledge and ServSafe certification.

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account

    - Directs daily food operations for quality & safety standards
    - Supervises day to day activities
    - Delegates authority
    - Assigns & prioritizes activities
    - Monitors operating standards
    - Establishes a safe work environment

    C/S: Culinary focus with ADMIN responsibilities.  Limited menu, basic program


    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 

    Basic Management Experience - 2 years         

    Basic Functional Experience  - 2 years
