    Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a General Manager 4, Food, for Moravian Manor, an upscale continuing care retirement community with approximately 300 residents located in Lititz, Pennsylvania. The General Manager will oversee all dining operations which include 7 different dining locations with retail and a fine cook to order restaurant while leading 4 managers and a total hourly staff of 40 associates.

    Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?

     

    We are looking for candidates who will:

    • have oversight of day-to-day operations (dining room service, retail cafe, restaurant, catering);
    • deliver high quality food service;
    • achieve company and client financial targets and goals (full service, fee account);
    • develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships;
    • develop strategic plans;
    • create a positive environment; and
    • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • a work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills and the ability to work collaboratively;
    • 5 years previous food service management experience at a director/ general manager level ideally in hotel / country club/ retirement community; 
    • strong culinary knowledge along with a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
    • a dietary manager's certification or equivalent is needed or must be willing to obtain within one year; 
    • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
    • the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
    • working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
