  • Unit Description

    Sodexo's Health Care Division is seeking an EVS Custodial Operations Manager II for the prestigious Hoag Hospital located in Irvine, CA in the  Orange County Metro Area in California. This is a 2nd Shift it may require some Holidays & Weekends. The unit operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Relocation is not offered at this time

     

    The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Hospital environment, strong client/employee relationship-building skills and possess the ability to manage direct reports in multiple locations on the campus, handle multiple priorities, quickly grasp situations and logically progress through solutions, the ability to refine systems ensuring sustained effort of achieving standards, and follow through and visibility within the facility. Demonstrate technical knowledge of Environmental Services operations in the Health-care as an Manager, and systems (TRAKKAR, UOS, Gold Checks, etc) as well as customer and employee relationship skills.  

    Must have proven ability in:

    • Actively involved in Diversity Awareness.
    • Able to lead and strong communication skills.
    • Results and safety driven.
    • Prior ES Management experience in a hospital environment required 1-3 years
    • Bilingual is a plus but not required

    Required: Good working knowledge of state & federal employment law; solid computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; good communication and presentation skills; detailed oriented, and well organized.

    Position Summary

    Provides management oversight for Environmental Services non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place as required to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for non-exempt work force planning through effective scheduling, development of daily work flow assignments, training and development, and monitoring for compliance to the plan.

    Key Duties
    -Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexho safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory maintenance.

    -Provide leadership and direction to non-exempt employees
    -Coordinate/conduct employee training
    -Administer Human Resource processes (hiring, performance reviews, constructive counseling, prepare work schedules, payroll, etc.)
    -Interact with outside vendors
    -Ensure Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place and consistently met.
    -Develop/implement action plans for improvement in compliance with Sodexo Operating Standards as identified.
    -Reviews and maintains assigned areas of the Sodexo/Client budget commitments

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
