    Sodexo Corporate Services Team is currently seeking a high performing Sous Chef to utilize creative and extensive culinary background to support the Executive Chef at Marathon Petroleum headquarters in Findlay, OH 

     

    The position requires food safety certification, HACCP knowledge, ordering food and supplies, food preparation, supervision of culinary team, monitoring of food production, catering skills, client interactions, creativity and innovations.

     

    The successful candidate will have culinary and food management skills. Preferred candidate should have at least 2 years’ experience in a High End Restaurant, Country Club and Senior Living.  Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. It is a plus if the Sous Chef is familiar with Sodexo Menu systems and tools. Must possess the passion to train Cooks and team members to the use of Sodexo tools and programs as well as HACCP, food safety, and techniques of culinary production.  

      

    The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting with the daily management, Culinary Training of 6-8 frontline staff and, development of Resident Engagement activities. The Culinary program at this location is growing, this is the perfect opportunity for someone who is innovative and loves to create memorable experiences through food.

    • a strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends;
    • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies;
    • upscale catering events,
    • previous experience working in a high volume facility; and
    • strong management skills.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
