    Sodexo is seeking an Retail Manager 2 at University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA

     

    The University of Pittsburgh is a large urban campus with an enrollment of 28,000 students. Sodexo provides resident dining, retail, catering, club and sports & leisure on campus with a total volume of $ 39 million annually.Sodexo provides a state of the art Retail store called the Quick Zone with over $4 million in annual sales. The position will support a Retail Manager 3 and direct an hourly team of 10. The ideal candidate should have exceptional leadership and team building skills, excellent communication skills, strong client relations, experience in managing high volume and delivering exceptional customer service.

     

    The Ideal Candidate will have

    • solid background w/Food Retail in high volume campus, hospital or similar environment handling multiple venues.
    • Understanding for increasing retail food sales through: product placement and merchandising.
    • Be customer / guest oriented to enhance the dining experience.
    • Systems orientation for menus/graphics/costing/ordering and inventory/Point of Sale systems.
    • Flexibility to multi-task, delegate, review and adjust employee work schedules.
    • ability to manage, motivate, schedule and train hourly employees.

    Position Summary

    Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.
    Key Duties
    - Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
    - Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
    - Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
    - Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
    - Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
    - Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers. 
     

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
    Basic Management Experience - 1 year
