Sodexo Universities is looking for a Director Business Development – Account Retention. This role is responsible for the Strategic Account Management of Retention for all Facilities Management accounts in Canada and the West region along with Food Management accounts in OH, MI, and IN. This position will work from a home office and travel at 75%.
The main duties for this role include providing sales oriented leadership in the process of working with the Universities operations teams in retention, & resale/rebid. This position provides unbiased analysis of operational risks and challenges, and strategic planning to retain and grow business. This position directly supports the Clients for Life processes through on site effectiveness review, management development, and planning.

Skillsets needed for success in the job include:
Background in Facilities Management and Food Services
Develops and executes strategic sales plans that result in the achievement of sales, market share, account retention or market growth targets. Recommends and influences key decision makers to pursue a course of action based on an analysis of client objectives, needs and challenges. Researches, prepares responses, and develops proposals (in response to RFP) and follows up with prospective clients. Maintains client relationships and client programs including facilitation of operations team start up and implementation.
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience – 7 years
Basic Functional Experience - 7 years sales or industry-related work experience
