    Currently, Sodexo has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Food Service Manager 3 to support Food Retail at our long tenured contract of 54 years at Carroll College.  Carroll College a private liberal arts college located in Montana’s exciting capital city of Helena. Total enrollment is under 1500, with a campus board population of approximately 800 on various meal plans in a renovated student dining hall.  

     

    Responsibilities will include providing Retail support in main dining location and satellite. Retail brands include Simply To Go (STG) - located at Simperman Hall and Jazzmans, Tres Habaneros located at Campus Center. AND you get to be a part in opening a new outlet scheduled to open winter 2020! Position will be responsible for marketing for retail, brand implementation and compliance, HR functions, inventory and ordering, Point Of Sale (POS) management and Financials. Will support Catering when needed.  Reporting to the General Manager, successful candidate will oversee up to 30  Sodexo associates and up to 4 supervisors.

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Have previous Food management in a larger university setting or large volume sectors of Healthcare, Sports and Leisure, or large corporate settings;
    • Be proficient in use of online Food Management Systems for ordering and inventory;
    • Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.
    • Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations;  a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference – quality and presentation of food – customer service.
    • Be a multi-tasker, organized, innovative and an effective leader who can motivate their staff – strong employee engagement through developing, mentoring, training and motivating. Encouraging staff to a high level of execution and pride/passion for what they do.
    • Be customer focused– including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment.
    • Experience with CBoard and HALO, is preferred.

    Position Summary

    Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
    Key Duties
    - Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
    - Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
    - Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
    - Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
    - Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement 
     

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
