    Sodexo is seeking a full time Clinical Nutrition Manager 1 (Registered Dietitian) for The Palmdale Regional Medical Center, a 184-bed acute care facility located in Palmdale, CA.


    Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. With the recent addition of the Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department.


    Reporting to the General Manager, the Clinical Nutrition Manager will:

    • Be a Registered Dietitian with at least one year of experience is an acute care setting and prior leadership experience
    • Manage the nutrition care services for this facility and be responsible for managing 5 RD's and diet office staff   
    • Have a strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care
    • Be responsible for managing and developing a team to foster successful nutrition programs and works with the team
    • Have demonstrated leadership skills to manage and develop clinical staff and patient services staff
    • Lead and drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects
    • Monitor and evaluate nutrition care services; accreditation and regulatory readiness and review; establish and maintain standards of care
    • Work closely with the management team to meet the needs of Sodexo as well as the client and be directly involved in continuous quality improvement
    • Maintain a role with client interaction and medical team, representing the department on hospital-wide medical staff committees
    • Be an outstanding team player with excellent communication and customer service skills



    Position Summary

    Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a small - medium account. Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.

    Key Duties
    - Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met.
    -May provide direct nutrition care to population served
    -Executes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments; and collects and reports outcomes.
    -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services and promotes nutrition services.
    -. - Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.
    -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).



    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

    Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
