    Sodexo is seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian to come join their team at Vail Health in beautiful Vail, Colorado.

     

    Vail Health, formerly Vail Valley Medical Center, is a nonprofit community health care system serving patients and guests from around the world. Locally operated and governed by a volunteer board of directors. Vail Health includes a 56-bed hospital, accredited by the Joint Commission. Our 24/7 emergency department in Vail is a Level III Trauma Center with a nearby helipad for necessary medical transports, urgent care clinics, cancer care, breast centers, cardiovascular services, surgery, childbirth, physical therapy, internal medicine, endocrinology, and more.

    Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the ideal candidate will:

     

    • Be a Registered Dietitian with at least one year of experience in an acute care setting
    • Work as part of the clinical team providing nutrition therapy on an inpatient and outpatient basis with a strong focus on driving and providing outstanding patient care
    • Manage the nutrition care process and prior experience with EMR
    • Provide education to staff and community as well as patients, must have strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with the interdisciplinary team
    • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a diverse population
    • Have strong time management and organizational skills
    • Be available to work weekdays, weekends, or holidays, as needed

    Position Summary

    Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services
    Key Duties
    -Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
    -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
    -Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
    -Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
    -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
    -Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

    Basic Functional Experience -  Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
