    Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Project Manager for our prestigious educational facility in upstate NY.

    Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing/ managing multiple construction projects as well as handling Operations Management including:

    • Assist with construction planning activities (timelines, implementation schedules, etc.)
    • Assist in development of budgets, project scope and contract negotiations to insure consistency between the project scope and financial parameters.
    • Perform on site observations of the progress and quality of the work as may be reasonably necessary to determine, in general, if the work is being performed in a manner indicating that the work, when completed will be in conformance with the contract documents for each construction project.
    • Maintain records including correspondence, construction documents, change orders, construction change directives, report of site meetings, shop drawings, product data, and similar submittals, Supplementary drawings, color schedules and names, addresses and telephone numbers of the contractors, subcontractors and principal material suppliers as appropriate.
    • Review drawings, specifications, addenda, change orders and other modifications at intervals appropriate to the stage of the construction.
    • Review subcontractor’s invoices and forward to EF with recommendations for disposition.
    • Witness appropriate tests of all components and systems to validate performance as designed and specified and that are ready for active service.
    • Work with contractors, design team and all other associated with projects to assist in the successful completion of all required work.
    • Ensure that the facilities management team is integrated into the construction process including plan review, site inspections and commissioning and training.
    • Supervise all facility members in the Directors absence.

    Requirements:

    •  Project Management Experience- at least 2 years in construction.
    • Experience as a Maintenance Manager.
    • Ability to manage schedules, budgets and contractors.
    • Exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree in is preferred.
    • Strong Computer Skills and Knowledge of BMS and CMMS Systems preferred.
    • AutoCad a Plus.

    Position Summary

    Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated capital projects. Reviews project proposal, establishes work plan and manages contractors to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.  

    Key Duties
    - Construction Management including scheduling and financial management

    - Quality Control and Safety

    - Project Engineering including following specifications, design adaptation by ensure design and specifications meet codes and specification

    - Sub-contractor management

    - Administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, minutes, maintaining documentation and customer liaison

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 3 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
