    Sodexo Campus Dining has an opportunity for an Executive Chef 1 at Tulane University, located in New Orleans, LA

     

    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Chef, with strong catering skills

     

    As Executive Chef, you will oversee all catering.  Reporting to the Sr Executive Chef on campus.

     

    Responsibilities for this hands-on role will include menu planning, inventory/ordering, purchasing, food & labor costing, catering, scheduling, training and safety/sanitation.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for spending time with students and teaching culinary skills in the kitchen.  Responsible for all food ordering, inventory, and scheduling of kitchen staff. Will be lead on all catering functions. Will assist in menu development of retail operations.

     

    Position Summary

    Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
    Key Duties
    -Executes the culinary function
    -Customer & Client satisfaction
    -Manages food & physical safety program.

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
