    Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Facilities/Engineering Manager at Weinberg Campus in Getsville, NY. 

    A 5 star facility-Weinberg, this facilites manager is for first shift (Start time of 6:30am) at our beautifully manicured 70 acre Campus. The Campus consists of a Nursing home, Assisted living, Memory Care, and HUD properties, totalling 12 buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the daily operation of Maintenance, Housekeeping, and contracted work.

    We are looking for a Candidate who:

    -Is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of the client and customers in service and the technical execution of health care maintenance and housekeeping system.

    -Has 2-3 years of previous maintenance and housekeeping experience in an healthcare environment; has the ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading committees and change management; Has experience effectively managing projects within the agreed upon timelines; Is proficient with computers and other technology.

    Key Responsibilities:

    You will be professionally responsible for Facilities Management regarding the proper installation, operation and maintenance of uninterrupted light, heat, power, water and monitoring systems for all health system buildings and services.

    Be well organized with a strategic mind set, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

    Must have experience in coaching, mentoring and teaching. Be able to provide technical expertise in the area of skilled trades and the ability to assist employees/managers in identifying improvements. 

    Assit with the day to day operation of maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry.

    Multiple services (i.e. maintenance, janitorial, etc.); possess the technical proficiency and understanding of building operation systems, preventative and correct maintenance, janitorial procedures to include floor care, HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • plant operations and maintenance management experience in an health care environment;
    • experience with the Joint Commission, Environment of Care (EOC), OSHA and Life Safety requirements;
    • technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, fire protection, safety systems, civil, low voltage, demolition, architectural and energy management;
    • P&L understanding;
    • excellent customer service and communication skills;
    • staff development and team building experience;
    • Certified Health Care Facilities Manager (CHFM)  is a plus; and
    • a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields preferred. 
    • * Senior Living experience a plus*

     

    Position Summary

    Supervises hourly staff providing facilities maintenance and engineering services to clients. Responsible for work force planning, QA training, and administrative functions of the designated area of supervision. May report to GM in smaller accounts, or to an Ops Manager in a larger account, or to another manager level.

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
