Job #77313 – Sodexo is seeking a Director Level Executive Chef for Seabury in Bloomfield, CT. This is a 300 Resident Upscale 50 and over Life Care Community. Nestled on more than 66 acres of beautiful Connecticut countryside; this picturesque campus is located between the centers of Bloomfield and West Hartford and is just minutes from the Farmington Valley and downtown Hartford and in the corridor between Boston and New York.
In this role, you implement and manage our 5 Star Dining Programs in Assisted Living, Independent Living, Healthcare, catering services, food retail programs. Responsibilities; financial management, oversight and implementation of high quality systems and standards, impeccable food safety and sanitation, the development of client and resident relations, and innovative culinary & service training programs for the food production team.
You interact daily with residents and clients to provide amazing customer service and program enhancements. This senior level position requires exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop teams that deliver extraordinary dining services to exceed resident & client expectations.
Your Skills Checklist for this position;
Culinary Degree / Trade School, Certificate, Servsafe Certified
Corporate Service High End Client experience
Background; Executive Chef fine dining restaurant
Financial volume; 3.6 million and P&L reporting
Manage the culinary team & 60 (FTE) hourly employees
Working knowledge of HACCP, Regulatory Compliance
Computer Skills; Financial, Food, & Labor Management
Fine dining, food retail and upscale catering experience
Capability to implement customer service enhancements
New account opening experience is ideal
Ability to work collaboratively with department directors

Provides culinary leadership within a large sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
