Sodexo is seeking a Director of Facilities/Engineering for Quest Diagnostics, located in Tucker, GA. The facility is large, two-story laboratory processing center nestled in Tucker Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia.. The Director of the Engineering Department will oversee the daily operations of the maintenance and plant operations department within a laboratory setting. Daily operations include customer service, staff development, regulatory compliance, preventive and corrective maintenance, project management, master facility planning, and the department operating & capital budgets. As an ideal candidate, you will have 5-7years experience in managing a large maintenance department in a corporate or laboratory setting, along with the technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, & plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for directing facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single unit. The Director of Facilities Operations manages the preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades, e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utilities; and manages the hiring, training and supervision of staff, professionals and management. The Director of Facilities Operations manages a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business. The Director may oversee construction work and often manages other core Sodexo services, and/or logistics of business/operations services, e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services.
