    Sodexo Leisure is seeking a creative Executive Chef 2 for an opportunity at Pickwick Gardens Conference CenterThe iconic Pickwick Gardens Conference Center is located in Burbank and has over 25,000 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, a bar and snack bars at the Bowl and Ice Rink. 


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Planning & execution of daily food production for Internal & External high-end catering events in a venue of $2.5MIL+
    • Full oversight for development of hourly staff, HACCP, food safety, ordering, inventory
    • Creating standard and specialty cafe and catering menus

    You are/have:

    • Responsible for purchasing, compliance, inventory, cost analysis and forecasting
    • Experience in leading retail & catering operations simultaneously 
    • Have high expectations for customer service and quality of food
    • Have the ability and willingness to develop and train frontline employees
    • Knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) a plus

    Position Summary

    Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. 
    Key Duties
    - Implements & coordinates the culinary function. 
    - Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
    - Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
    - Manages catering & retail areas.
    - Customer & Client satisfaction.
    - Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
    -  Manages food & physical safety programs.


    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
