  • Unit Description

    Sodexo has a new opening for an Accounting Analyst in the Contract Management department at our Financial Service Center in Cheektowaga, NY.

     

    Key responsibilities of the position include: 

    • Identify & initiate coaching and training on company policies, procedures, policies and systems, problem resolution techniques and effective communication.
    • Coach and monitor results for technical development of others.  Lead projects with guidance.
    • Ensure integrity of business line internal financial reporting preparing balance sheet analysis and reconciliations. 
    • Consistently apply objective accounting judgment to knowledge of contractual agreements & company policy.
    • Analyze & resolve assigned general ledger accounts. 
    • Maintain company databases; utilize technical skills at a high level for in depth global analysis. 
    • Work proactively to prevent problems anticipating changing operational and client needs. .

    Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

    Position Summary

    Has working knowledge and experience in own discipline.  Assists in the maintenance of accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organization's assets. Maintains accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports.  Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

    Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
