Sodexo is seeking our Food Service Manager 3 for Creighton University in Omaha, NE. $2500 sign on bonus plus Relocation Assistance is available for candidates who live more than 90 miles from campus in the contiguous U.S. Enjoy some Major Holidays and campus breaks OFF and Division I, NCAA Sports Our successful candidate will manage our large Dining Hall Brandeis on Sundays and manage our Harper Athletes Dining Hall for the rest of the week through Thursday. Additional responsibilities include hiring, training, managing our Food Management system DRIVE for accurate menus and to assure Sodexo Standards are followed accurately. 

 

This position will host tours for potential student athletes and support recruitment of those student athletes by managing an innovative and strategic Athlete-Focused dining hall.  Experience with excellent C-Suite Level executive client communications and experience working with Campus Athletics Teams will provide the foundation of success for this role. Strong management experience preferred.

Within the first month after hire, all newly hired managers will be scheduled to travel to participate in a three-week training at a nearby Sodexo Center for Excellence. Through this comprehensive onboarding model managers will be equipped to execute their positions at the highest level, train and lead their teams to do the same, and build a culture of excellence in their respective units.

  • Has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility
  • Can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (DRIVE) and is proficient in computer skills, financial acumen and report management

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Duties
- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
- Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement 
 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
