Sodexo is seeking (2) dynamic Food Service Manager 2's to join our food services healthcare team at Erlanger East Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.  Erlanger East Hospital is a full service 120-bed community hospital with a "lifestyle focus."  Erlanger East embraces a healthy lifestyle and is looking for food management to enhance their image in healthy food.  


The Food Service Managers will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for day to day oversight of retail, catering, patient food service satisfaction, and the operational effectiveness at the unit.  The department uses At Your Request Room Service for patients and has a Fresh Inspirations Cafe.  This position will support 10-15 frontline employees.  


Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Oversite of 10-15 employees in the department
  • Responsible for identifying process improvement initiatives and overseeing the implementation.
  • Ensures that employees demonstrate an active customer hospitality orientation toward both clients and customers.
  • Integrate fully within our client’s organization by becoming a trusted adviser with a customer service focus.
  • Responsible for driving patient satisfaction results by regularly analyzes patient satisfaction data 
  • Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
  • Must meet (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.
  • Creates a positive environment and successfully motivates and manages team.

  • Have extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience with FMS, OMD, Labor Management programs, “Expressly For You” patient meal service, Health Touch, Cater Trax and Service Depot
  • Have extensive experience with Sodexo Food & Physical Safety standards
  • Exhibits “Drive & Dependability”.


Employees in Healthcare and Seniors are required to be fully vaccinated as a term and condition of employment at Sodexo no later than February 28, 2022, absent a legally required exception, and are required to report their vaccination status and upload proof of vaccination via an online portal.

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Duties
- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
- Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent     

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
