    Sodexo Aviation Services is currently seeking a General Manager, Aviation Lounge 1 for a prestigious private airline club/lounge at John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK)!  The Club General Manager will be a hands-on manager leading a staff of Food Operations Managers, Bartenders, Food Service Attendants and Custodial staff who run the daily operations between two high-volume lounges.

     

    This position is a highly-functioning role working within the premier Aviation Lounge market having responsibility for a staff of up to 120 employees. Our Club General Manager needs to have well-balanced cocktail/bar and food service management experience and a high level of customer service with the ability to have well organized staffing schedules in place.

     

    A high premium is placed on the beverage and food experience with daily execution for our elite guests focused upon being detailed oriented, customer focused, well organized and possessing strong planning skills; which are critical to the success of the position. The ideal candidate will have aviation club management or hotel/multi-outlet food and beverage management background.  The General Manager will need to be focused on food and physical safety, while managing a high-quality lounge experience program and working with client liaisons on a daily basis.

    Position Summary

    Responsible for general management of an account/unit providing one or more core services (Core Services of: Lounge Operations and may include any of: Complementary Food and Bar, Food For Sale, Appearance Care, Credential Desk, Purchasing and Concierge Services. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree           

    Basic Management Experience - 5 years              

    Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
