Sodexo Schools is seeking a Resident District Manager to oversee food operation for the Springfield Public Schools District. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and client relations skills and possess the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously. This position will manage a team of more than 15 managers and +300 frontline employees. Management of team competencies are diverse based on the complex operations at the unit. The RDM will manage resources available through Sodexo and Springfield Public Schools.
Springfield Public Schools is a school district with +60 school locations where services are provided daily. Services include breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, vending, catering and summer meal programs. Breakfast and lunch meals are served to greater than 85% of students daily.
A new facility, known as the Culinary & Nutrition Center (CNC) has recently been built to help improve services for students. The CNC began operations in April 2019 with the goal of increasing quality, local purchasing, efficient operations and operational excellence. The CNC turns fresh items into bakery goods, center plate ingredients, fresh fruit and vegetable its, sauces, etc. for service in the schools in a manufacturing environment.

Functions as the central point of contact for one complex account with multiple locations, and possibly multiple contracts. Oversees performance of unit management including budget development, client relations, sales and profitability performance, conformance with company policies and procedures and staff training and development. Liaison between company resources and unit operating managers.
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
