    Sodexo has an exciting new opportunity for an Executive Chef 1 at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Lipscomb University is a Christian, Faith Based University that follows the doctrine of the Church of Christ. 

     

    This position will work closely with the Director of Catering in developing specialty menus for the Lipscomb Senior Leadership group. In particular the President and First Lady of Lipscomb require a very high level of expertise in the culinary arts when they entertain.  In general Sodexo Catering has set a very high bar for not only executive catering events ... but also for general catering services provided to the University and to outside clients on campus. Sodexo Catering also provides off premisis catering to Downtown Nashville Locations as well as to the President's and senior leadership's residences.

    Position Summary

    Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
    Key Duties
    -Executes the culinary function
    -Customer & Client satisfaction
    -Manages food & physical safety program.

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
