    Sodexo is currently searching for a Senior Manager, Workplace Optimization Analytics & Business Intelligence.  This position will ideally be located at our Corporate Headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland however a remote work location will be considered.

     

    The Asset Management Framework (AMF), the “Sodexo Way” for delivering Technical Services. This position sits in Service Operations and will support delivering the Technical Services in a data-driven way that cultivates a disciplined culture based on objective insights to drive growth for all segment in NorAm (North America) within the boundaries of the AMF.  This position will also contribute to the offer/service development (concept to implementation) of each component of Technical Services by delivering insights to objectively inform the segments on how to optimize the way we sell, mobilize and operate our service offerings. 

     

    This role sits in Service Operations and will serve as a leader/influencer role as the Segments contribute to portfolio level benchmarking of all of NorAm’s Hard FM accounts to identify opportunities for growth, operational excellence and risk mitigation.

     

    The successful candidate will be recognized as an expert in Operational Research. Has specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in Asset Management and Engineering Services. Support segments’ analytical, reporting and administrative needs including, but not limited to, asset performance review preparation, standard reporting on asset health, and ad-hoc analysis to inform Technical Services activities.

     

    The individual will work very closely with Asset Management VP to drive standardization in the COEs (Centre of Excellence), creating an environment that encourages knowledge sharing and the development of transferable skills allowing for ease of transition between segments. Partner with Master Data Management (MDM) and Reporting Standardization team to identify and prioritize key Asset Performance data points, converting appropriate analysis into standardized enterprise views (i.e. dashboards, reports, etc.) Interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions. May lead functional teams or projects. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirement.

     

    Provide effective and efficient systems to enable superior performance from the on-site operations to drive value for our clients:

    • Use data science to:
      • Identify operational, maintenance and compliance issues involving HVAC, building automation, electrical and fire/safety and other building systems
      • Perform operational assessments, maintenance assessments, asset management assessments, capital planning assessments, energy assessments and critical environment (data center) assessments.
      • Support the optimization of the Designing, Building and Implementation of processes for the Asset Management (technical maintenance and asset lifecycle activities)
    • Develops and maintains data driven tools to deliver the Asset Management and Engineering services/offer to drive quality, consistency and cost-effective solutions.
    • Develops and maintains costing model for the Asset Management and Engineering team to ensure competitiveness and drive Technical Services growth
    • Supports establishing and maintaining Asset Management reference Units/Accounts in each Market Segment, as appropriate using data science to show the value of utilizing Sodexo’s AMF

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Mechanical or Electrical engineer
    • Highly competent with data analysis 
    • This requires 80% travel

Individuals will work very closely with other segment specialists to drive standardization in the COEs creating an environment that encourages knowledge sharing and the development of transferable skills allowing for ease of transition between segments. Partner with Master Data Management (MDM) and Reporting Standardization team to identify and prioritize key financial data points, converting appropriate analysis into standardized enterprise views (i.e. dashboards, reports, etc.) Interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions. May lead functional teams or projects. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirement.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

    Basic Management Experience - 5 years

    Basic Functional Experience – 3 years
