Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager for IHM Sisters a faith based Senior living community in Monroe. The 108-acre campus is located on West Elm Avenue, facing the River Raisin. The Motherhouse is home to approximately 160 retired IHM Sisters, offices and services supporting the IHM congregation. IHM has a visible commitment to sustainability through the partnership with DTE and its many other programs.
The Motherhouse offers independent dining, and large conference space for catered events.
The Chef manager will assist with menu managment, ordering and inventory processes, scheduling, training and HACCP standards. Hands on production, culinary support and oversight of quality.
We are looking for candidates who will:
Oversee the daily food production, including production planing and controls;
ensure Sodexo Culnary Standards are being met including recipe compliance and food quality;
Have high expectations for quality of food and presentation
Have the willingness to develop and train employees;
Have knowledge of special diets and allergens.
A knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have: Excellent leadershp and communication skills. The ability to maintai the highest of standards and implement company policies
Experience working in a high volum facility is preferred.
Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables. May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
