  • Unit Description

    Sodexo is seeking a General Manager (III)  for Manorcare Danto in Coral, Michigan. This is a  110 Resident Skilled Care and Rehab Facility with a Kosher dining program and a traditional tray-line system.  

     

    Position requires; an experienced leader with strong P&L management skills for 1.2 million in financial volume, a working knowledge of Kosher Food Operations and a Certified Dietary Manager Certificate or enrolled in a program to be completed within one year. 

    In this role, you manage the Client and Sodexo Budget for food services, 25 employees in a full-service account, HACCP and regulatory compliance, food quality standards, food and environmental safety, impeccable sanitation, daily interactions with Client, Rabbi, and Residents for strong business relations and satisfaction, continuous program assessment and service enhancements, team building and staff training for career development, promotions, and job satisfaction.

     

    Your Skills Check List for this Position:

    Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or enrolled in a program

    Or a Dietetic / Nutrition Degree and Servsafe Certificate

    Skilled Care and contract management experience

    Client Relationship building skills

    P&L Financial skills for 1.2 million in annual volume

    HR skills to manage 2 Sodexo RDs who oversee 25 employees

    Computer skills to work in Financial, Food & Labor Software Systems

    Experience; food production, catering, and quality standards

    Working knowledge of HACCP monitors for Regulatory Compliance

    Experience training and developing staff, coordinating customer service programs

    Dynamic leadership skills for outcomes that exceed client and resident expectations

     

    Schedule varies with some weekends & holidays for special events

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
